About Marina State Beach

The beach area winds through the Marina Dunes Natural Preserves, and provides for scenic panoramic view of Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary, a federal marine protected area. The beach is known for hang-gliding. Radio-controlled gliders and kites are also popular. The beach is a favorite site for picnics. Water recreation is extremely hazardous due to strong rip currents.

Pets

Dogs are not allowed at this location.

Dogs on leash are allowed at Monterey State Beach (South of the Monterey Beach Resort hotel), Asilomar State Beach, Carmel River State Beach, and Garrapata State Park.

CAMPING

There is NO campground at Marina State Beach.
